When a dog’s coat becomes heavily matted, grooming can be more challenging and may carry an increased risk of skin irritation, small nicks, or discomfort. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and wellbeing are always my highest priority, and I take every possible care to groom them as gently and safely as possible in some cases, despite every precaution, minor skin irritation or the discovery of underlying skin conditions hidden beneath the mats may be unavoidable. If your dog’s coast is matted, I will always discuss the best and kindest grooming option with you before I begin. By proceeding with the groom, you acknowledge the risks associated with a matted coat and accept responsibility for your dog’s coat condition. While every care is taken, I cannot be held liable for any skin irritation, minor nicks, or underlying skin issues revealed during grooming.
